Dam useful: Pursat hydropower project expected to begin generation, flood mitigation by year’s end

The 80-megawatt Stung Pursat 1 hydropower project in Pursat province’s Veal Veng district is almost complete, and expected to begin generating electricity in December this year. The developer explained that the dam could also help reduce downstream flooding and provide water for agriculture during the dry season.
